When you're gone, logic drowns my affection
I remember my faults, and I remember your perfection
I can see no reason that you'd be tempted by me
and so I try to forget you in hope of breaking free

But today I saw you for the first time in a while

and the universe froze when I saw you smile

I told you that I missed you and I shuddered under your gaze

Your words were kind and warm and your eyes were ablaze
